About

It has never been more important for us to come together as an integrated care system to support each other and ensure the people requiring our services receive the best possible response. The aim of Veterans Mental Health Network is to bridge the gap between services and organisations dedicated in helping veterans, to share knowledge and increase integrated, informed care for veterans and their mental health.

The Veterans Mental Health Network will aim to bring professionals and those with lived experience together, to improve veteran’s mental healthcare in the North East and North Cumbria (NENC).

The network will progress informed, and innovative new ways of integrated working. The aim of the Veterans Mental Health Network is to:

  • Provide a dedicated platform for NHS and the third sector to come together through regular meetings.

  • Facilitate regular, knowledge sharing webinars open to all, to increase understanding of veteran’s mental health more widely.

  • Showcase and highlight new opportunities and find innovative ways to work collaboratively.
